2.1 PD Interacting with Citizens

Jail Time Limits

  • Police officers may not jail anyone for longer than 30 months at this time.

  • 1 month = 1 minute in real-time.

Arrest Protocol

  • Officers must clearly inform individuals that they are being arrested before initiating the arrest animation.

  • For example: Use phrases like, “Put your hands behind your back, you’re under arrest,” prior to executing the arrest action.

  • Running up and immediately arresting someone without proper communication or RP is not allowed.

Hostage Situations

  • Police must prioritize the safety of hostages and value their lives.

  • Officers are not allowed to shoot the person holding the hostage unless it is a last resort to prevent imminent harm.

  • The scene must be roleplayed appropriately to negotiate and resolve the situation, ensuring the hostage's safe release.
