2.0 Citizens Interacting with PD

Access to PD Inventory

  • You are only permitted to take money and food from the police department’s inventory.

Police Vehicle Usage

  • You cannot use lights or sirens on police vehicles.

Impersonating a Police Officer

  • Impersonating a police officer in any way is strictly prohibited.

  • This includes wearing police uniforms, using police equipment, or otherwise attempting to mimic law enforcement.

Avoiding Cop Baiting

  • You cannot bait or provoke police officers by committing illegal activities or intentionally following them to gain attention.

Hostage Situation Requirements

  • To take a police officer hostage, you must outnumber them.

  • For example, it requires at least 3 or more players against 1 cop.

Use of Lethal Force in a Chase

  • During a chase, the only time you are allowed to kill a police officer is if they are using excessive force against you or your vehicle.

Fair Opportunity to Defend Themselves

  • If you intend to shoot at a police officer, you must give them a chance to draw their weapon first.

  • Shooting them before they have the opportunity to defend themselves is considered RDM (Random Deathmatch).

Good Examples of RP

  • Respectful Engagement: A citizen pulls over when instructed by a cop and cooperates during a routine traffic stop, answering questions calmly and providing their license and registration.

  • Roleplaying a Hostage Situation: A group of three or more criminals successfully outnumber a single officer, taking them as a hostage while ensuring the interaction is immersive and realistic, not rushed or chaotic.

Bad Examples of RP

  • Stealing Police Vehicles: A player steals a police car without any prior roleplay or valid reason, simply to use it as a getaway vehicle.

  • Impersonating Police Officers: A player wears a police uniform and tries to pull over other citizens or interfere with PD operations, impersonating an officer in a way that disrupts the roleplay.

  • RDM (Random Deathmatch): A player shoots and kills a cop without giving them a chance to draw their weapon, violating the rule of not shooting before the officer can defend themselves.

  • Baiting Police: A citizen repeatedly commits petty crimes like speeding or minor theft just to get a police officer’s attention and escalate the situation unnecessarily.
